Growing Your Business Online

January 9, 2013

“By the end of 2002, there will be only two kinds of businesses: those with an Internet presence, and those with no business at all.”  -Bill Gates

While some businesses do fine with customers calling to place an order or come into the store, being able to sell instantly is very attractive. When customers can place an order right then and there, it increases the likelihood that they’ll make a purchase. Having an online shopping cart makes it much easier to be able to close sales on the spot.

Making sure that you have the right payment options for your customers is important. If you conduct business online, this usually consists of setting up a payment gateway and a shopping cart for your site. You will want a gateway that is customer friendly.  If it’s poorly designed you could end up with frustrated customers and lose a sale. Delivery is also very important and the customer should be informed on the type of delivery they are receiving.
